Creative Forming Buys Floor Model from Kiefel |
Chicago, Illinois, August 1, 2006 - Kiefel Inc. (Booth S1515) sold the newest version of its in-line thermoforming system to Creative Forming Inc. of Ripon, Wis. Creative Forming bought the machine at the show, according to Kiefel general sales manager Markus Zlotosch. The NPE floor model is the second such machine for Creative Forming, which had bought one of the Kiefel systems in January.
Kiefel’s KMD 85B was running polypropylene to make meat trays at the show, Zlotosch said. The machine has a quick-change tool system as well as pick-and-place robotics. It is flexibly configured for stacking and downstream equipment. Zlotosch said it can run 70 dry cycles a minute at a 5-inch stroke. Maximum tool size is 33 by 28 inches.
